Ugh. Fuck Flash. Why is that a restriction?
*EDIT* Oh, wait, I know. Because Flash games suck and Yahtzee will be reviewing it.

Do you want me to upload the super secret god awfully impossible to find tutorials that adobe doesn't want you to know about?
I'm an altogether bad-natured Cupid.

I actually sent him a "why does it has to be a browser game" mail.
I really wonder why.

1) This is why we need a post rating system.Pickzell wrote:Do you want me to upload the super secret god awfully impossible to find tutorials that adobe doesn't want you to know about?
2) And why wouldn't Adobe want us to know about them? That seems kind of counter-productive.
3) And would that even be legal? *guesses no*
I'll write a signature once I get some creativity and inspiration...

Wow, a shitty prize and you have to give them your source code.
Sounds like a brilliant deal.

I understand having Yahtzee criticize your work isn't the best thing that can happen, but the fact is that it's exposure. More exposure than 90% of indie games could ever get otherwise. They're also talking to AAA developers/publishers to get in on judging the contest. As for your source code, there was a big to-do about it on the forums, and special clarifications were made that give you complete rights to your code, to the point where you could just toss in new assets (not belonging to the Escapist), and release your game that way. So you make a game, retain full rights to everything you made in it, and get exposure from a very popular gaming website and possibly big developers - scratch that - definitely exposure to developers, seeing as how every game studio I know watches Yahtzee's reviews.
You're right.
I shudder to think.
